Unless they have an existing share borrowing account, otherwise they would not be able to close their positions until buying in date. Then they will have to buy at 2 at 3 pips above the market price of the previous trading session close. This also not so big deal unless Ezra open straight away with a marked spike of half to 1 cent or so.

likely secured more contracts worth few hundred USD, if not price wont surge so much

If i am not wrong, i read somewhere that they have extended the deadline for some shares, including ezra, to meet mtp
