During the prc bull run, many prc took margin financing from brokers, banks n other illegal entities. On average it was 1/65, some extreme cases went up to 1/150. Meaning if a stock rise by 2% an investor will profit 300%. Due to lack of knowledge or ignorant, prc view stock mkt as a casino or a magician where they can become millionaire over night. As I mentioned before prc mkt r highly speculative n nobody is interested about value investment, they only wanted to become rich as fast as possible.
Somewhere during Q2, the mkt started to crash. Those who took hefty financing had their assets left with only underwear. There were few cases of committed suicide. Some lost their entire saving within second once the mkt started trading bcos if someone took a financing of 1/150, less than 1% decline in stock price will wipe out its entire capital n broker will engage in margin call.
Thus it created a concern to the communist becos investors were not able to repay their loans to their brokers as mkt continue crashing. The total margin financing was extremely high due to everyone was very confident of the stock mkt n everyday the communist government was encouraging its citizen to buy stocks. Hence, the communist worried that it will create instability to their banking system if the stock mkt continue to fall.
Soon the communist formed a national team (国 家 队 ) to save the stock mkt by acting as a buyer, hoping to boost confident n ceased the decline. They defended their action by saying it was normal for government to intervene in the stock mkt, u.s also did the same thing during the financial crisis. Personally I think that was a very stupid decision. Firstly when mkt was crashing, there' s no way to stop it n intervention will prolong the time frame for stocks to fall below valuation.The mkt will automatically ceased falling when there is nothing else to sell n prices r below valuation, nature will just take it course. Thus, those who speculate will have to pay a price for their ignorants.
Secondly, the way u.s intervened was totally different from the communist. U.s bought directly into the primary mkt n not the secondary mkt. fund invested were given to companies to strength their balance sheet during the financial crisis n not to support the share price. Thus the communist was a lazy student n not knowing what exactly happened.
After injecting billions of rmb n still can' t stop the mkt decline, the communist announced investors with 5% shareholding n above were not allowed to sell their share until further notice. Again this is an extremely stupid decision, this thought came straight to my mind when the decision was announced. By restricting the big players to sell it was also sending a negative message to the small players. In addition, not allowing one to sell is no different from saying u r not allow to withdraw your money from the bank. Thus, it created massive fear n even more ppl started selling their stocks n the mkt crashed even further.
In the end, the communist learnt their lesson by keeping their mouth shut n they have also wasted billions of tax payers money by trying to support the stock mkt while it was still trading above valuation. As an investor I dislike government intervention becos it distort the mkt. I can understand on cases that required government intervention like too expensive property prices, economy is getting to hot n etc but not everything also intervene. Leave the business environment to businessman. The job of a government is to ensure everyone play by the rule, no cheating, n only lend their helping hand when needed. Thank you 🙂

也 就 是 说 ， 中 国 老 年 人 口 的 数 量 将 超 过 发 达 国 家 老 年 人 口 的 总 和 。 但 与 老 龄 人 口 数 量 急 剧 增 加 的 状 况 相 悖 的 是 ， 我 国 的 退 休 年 龄 却 是 目 前 世 界 上 退 休 年 龄 最 早 的 国 家 。
我 国 现 行 的 法 定 退 休 年 龄 规 定 ： 男 职 工 的 退 休 年 龄 为 60周 岁 ， 女 职 工 为 50周 岁 ， 女 干 部 的 退 休 年 龄 为 55周 岁 。 但 根 据 人 社 部 的 数 据 ， 我 国 平 均 退 休 年 龄 不 到 55岁 ， 而 大 多 数 国 家 退 休 都 在 65岁 左 右 。 同 时 ， 从 企 业 退 休 职 工 的 增 长 速 度 来 看 ， 我 国 平 均 每 个 工 作 日 要 为 24800人 办 理 退 休 手 续 ， 几 乎 秒 针 每 跳 动 一 下 差 不 多 就 有 一 人 退 休 。

早 在 2013年 ， 人 社 部 就 已 对 外 征 求 延 迟 退 休 方 案 ， 当 时 的 清 华 大 学 公 共 管 理 学 院 教 授 杨 燕 绥 的 方 案 中 就 已 针 对 开 发 老 年 人 力 资 源 有 所 涉 及 ， 方 案 希 望 在 推 行 延 迟 退 休 年 龄 的 同 时 解 决 相 应 人 员 向 专 项 服 务 业 转 型 的 工 作 。
&ldquo 二 者 之 间 并 不 属 于 此 消 彼 长 的 关 系 ， 认 为 开 发 老 年 人 力 资 源 就 会 抢 年 轻 人 饭 碗 的 想 法 ， 是 一 个 最 大 的 误 区 。 &rdquo 董 登 新 表 示 ， 中 国 50岁 到 59岁 之 间 的 女 性 人 口 有 8600万 人 ， 其 中 ， 机 关 事 业 单 位 的 女 性 为 600万 人 ， 也 就 是 说 ， 有 8000万 女 性 在 50岁 就 已 经 退 休 ， 但 就 我 国 的 现 状 而 言 ， 社 区 服 务 类 岗 位 恰 恰 是 最 薄 弱 的 方 面 ， 如 果 将 这 8000万 健 康 女 性 充 实 到 中 国 的 社 区 和 社 会 服 务 中 去 ， 对 我 们 整 个 养 老 产 业 的 提 升 都 是 一 个 非 常 重 要 的 劳 动 力 资 源 。
在 董 登 新 看 来 ， 传 统 的 农 业 社 会 和 工 业 社 会 时 期 ， 创 造 新 的 岗 位 和 就 业 机 会 确 实 很 难 ， 但 信 息 化 服 务 时 代 ， 就 业 岗 位 的 创 造 是 无 极 限 的 ， 老 年 人 力 资 源 将 主 要 集 中 在 第 三 产 业 。
其 实 ， 就 目 前 来 看 ， 我 国 养 老 服 务 体 系 从 供 给 侧 的 角 度 来 讲 远 远 不 能 满 足 需 求 ， 各 种 各 样 的 需 求 正 在 不 断 地 增 长 。 比 如 ， 许 多 地 方 的 社 区 养 老 、 医 疗 服 务 机 构 建 设 供 不 应 求 ， 今 后 对 养 老 院 、 护 理 院 、 老 年 公 寓 等 各 类 服 务 机 构 、 设 施 以 及 相 关 工 作 人 员 的 需 求 巨 大 。
对 此 ， 人 社 部 新 闻 发 言 人 李 忠 也 曾 明 确 表 示 ， 人 社 部 用 了 大 量 数 据 进 行 多 方 面 分 析 和 研 究 论 证 ， 结 论 是 延 迟 退 休 年 龄 对 就 业 影 响 有 限 。
延 退 拉 动 GDP
不 管 &ldquo 开 发 老 年 人 力 资 源 &rdquo 的 提 法 有 多 少 人 反 对 ， 遭 到 多 少 人 吐 槽 ， 它 的 实 施 确 是 有 着 现 实 意 义 。
数 据 表 明 ， 我 国 劳 动 年 龄 人 口 在 2011年 的 时 候 达 到 峰 值 ， 当 时 是 9.25亿 人 ， 2012年 劳 动 年 龄 人 口 比 2011年 下 降 345万 。 据 可 靠 的 数 据 分 析 ， 到 2030年 以 后 ， 劳 动 年 龄 人 口 会 出 现 大 幅 下 降 的 过 程 ， 平 均 以 每 年 760万 人 的 速 度 减 少 。 到 2050年 ， 劳 动 年 龄 人 口 会 由 2030年 的 8.3亿 降 到 7亿 左 右 。
劳 动 年 龄 人 口 比 例 的 下 降 意 味 着 劳 动 供 给 量 趋 于 下 降 ， 进 而 减 缓 经 济 增 长 速 度 。
9月 17日 ， 中 国 人 民 大 学 国 发 院 发 布 了 一 份 《 中 国 宏 观 经 济 分 析 与 预 测 (2016年 第 三 季 度 )&mdash &mdash 全 球 技 术 进 步 放 缓 下 中 国 经 济 新 动 能 的 构 建 》 报 告 ， 该 报 告 提 道 ： &ldquo 人 口 红 利 &rdquo 正 在 加 速 衰 竭 ， 这 在 一 定 程 度 上 加 剧 了 我 国 潜 在 经 济 增 速 的 下 滑 。

I was surprised when pinkowl told me that starhub can offered higher discount on more mobile lines being bundled becos 8 years ago when I applied with them they didn' t tell me so, mayb I should ask them for a refund when I' m back n sg :p
however I would still like to share additional pointers about our local telco. Sg being a small mkt, After 10 years of entry by starhub n existing player, Singtel, the household segment targeted by the bundle strategy of tv programme should have matured. Those households who can afford n interested in paid tv programme would have applied with Singtel n starhub. Thus, going forward the growth of the household segment will b based on new household formed n growth in spending on subscription of more tv programme by existing household when their disposable income increase along the way.
From the above analysis, we can move backward to to verify the impact of bundle strategy on m1 earning. For the past ten years starhub operating earning increased by 24%, Singtel 17% n m1 was 6% (m1 was lesser becos they have lesser products sold in terms of the tv programme). Thus, even though the household segment grew explosively when the bundling strategies by starhub n Singtel were launched, it did not posed any negative impact on m1 earning. Hence, going forward if the 4th player were to use the same bundling strategy to enter the mkt, they will b at a disadvantage position becos they will b competing with Singtel n starhub mkt share n m1 is not in the bundling segment n past stats have proven that m1 have successfully defended its bottomline against the bundling strategy by other variables offered such branding, good service, or etc.
As mentioned earlier, the future growth of the household segment as a result of new household being formed will draw customers away from m1 to the rest of the operators. However it will b compensated by new population growth N more spending on handsets n Internet services. Of cos the above analysis r based on the new player offering the same bundling strategy by starhub n Singtel. However if they carry new products or services that r not within our current expectation n able to penetrate into a new segment, it may gain mkt shares against the existing players.
Thus, it is important to remain calm n monitor the progress. Selecting an investment prospect is similar to finding a girlfriend or boyfriend. Those who spent considerable effort n time to understand the personalities n characters of their partners will continue to standby them when they heard rumor that they r being cheated. On the other hand, those who loved at first sight n knew nothing about the past history of their loved pal will feel panic n sleepless when they r being told of the same message 🙂
Lastly I would like to share about ü ber n how to they failed when they tried to enter the prc taxi hailing software mkt. about one year ago the prc news started talking about ü ber. Frankly speaking I have never heard of them before (I' m not a tech savy person) n till now I have not tried booking a cab via the smart phone, by the way I' m still using the non smart phone 🙂
Ü ber came into the prc taxi hailing mkt n started competing with the rest of the existing operators. They engaged in price war by offering rmb1 refund to customer n taxi driver when payment is made via their app. Soon the rest of the operators followed. It was a bad strategy becos ppl who took a cab were either for the purpose of comfort, convenience or rushing for time. Hence it is an inelastic demand n price war is definitely bad for businesses of such demand (likewise for telco).
Most prc were just like me, ü ber was unknown to them, hence strong branding from other operators created a high barrier of entry for uber. Never underestimate the power of branding, it is a very strong weapon for existing players to protect their mkt share. After burning money for one year, ü ber announced that they will sell their prc business to a local competitor becos they r losing 1 billion every month. Thus it is not always a success for new player to enter a mkt becos existing operator carry more advantages than the new player. It is just like someone trying to open a new chicken rice stall beside a well known existing player, very difficult to compete. Thank you 🙂

everyone has their own comfort proportion between cash and investments. my own way is 30% and 70% in stocks. for stocks component currently i have 14 invested stocks and usually i will switch around once an individual stock hit valuation. as for cash, it is more for standby just in case companies issue rights, or out of sudden there are more investable options. myself i do not time the market and i also cant do it. all buying and selling are based on valuation. hence i have no concern about the macro economy and so forth 🙂I just saw that galaxy entertainment once again back to it valuation of hkd30 2 days ago. again, those who bought, congrat 🙂
those who have been monitoring galaxy entertainment may wonder how come it always hit valuation so easily? it is a question which i cant answer becos when a stock is bullish there can be thousand of positive comments. likewise when it is bearish, there can be thousand of creative comments as well 🙂 what we can do is to focus on its fundamental and read the financial reports as much as possible.
