Is there anyway we can find out whether is an insider job??
I mean any insider who bought shares and the share price is dropping like crazy maybe due to shortist or CW warrant can purposely cut a wire in the mainframe computer and results in a halt. This will help becos it will result in shortist panicking and covering and insider will therefore profit instead of potential loss or at least give that insider some buffer.
Is the police going to investigate? if this happens only once, then perhaps we can tolerate/understand.. but so many times already, i think police shd step in?
Does this happen to hongkong or china or malaysia exchange? This is not the only time that happens to sgx ... 3rd time? 4th?

Looking at the unexpected downtime, i think they do matching manually...lol
Believe the system is ready, but the deals have yet to be reconciled. If the reconcilations are not done properly, it' s very difficult to unwind errors on errors. Just imagine, you trade on a position which was actually not successfully closed during the donw time They have to ensure all deals closed are accounted for. Lots of matching of data to be done, hope that the matching is not done manually.
Should change their outsource IT service liao...lol
