ISR Capital - Back to square 1 ??

If tomorrow down again, it could drop from 87, 84, 79, 76, 72, 69, 65, 60 .... day closing. Thereafter to $0.032 ...

It could go up to catch the short sellers & buy-in (avg short-sell $0.05638 @13may), from 87... 98, 105,111, 118, 126, 131 ??

Probability of down : higher

Probability of up : lower

It depends on whether you are a fundamental analysis (FA) or technical analysis (TA) person. Either way, to curb fear is to have a trading or investment system that you stick to and also enhance the system you use over time as you gained experience, For example for a technical analysis person, your charts and the charting metrics like moving averages and so on can provide you with insights into the the movement of share prices of a particular stock. For a fundamental analysis person, analysing the financial statements, getting updated on the developments of the company on how its businesses are functioning and using the various fundamental investment mertrics like P/E ratio and so on also give insights on the financial health and valuation of the company.

Whether FA or TA, we need to protect ourselves to minimise loss and maximise potential returns. For TA, there is a target stop loss price so that should the share price move in the opposite direction to one' s bet whether he is a longist or shortist, he can get out of his position in the stock once the stock price hits his initially set target stop loss price.

For FA, it becomes harder to know exactly when it is the best time to sell the shares of a company. But usually it is done when the fundamentals of a company has taken a permanent deterioriation and there is no possible recovery or when the shares of the company is grossly over valued that the fundamentals of the company cannot possibly catch up over a short period of time (1 to 2 years) to justify the over valued share price. This can happen during a major bull run up. Or else, maybe the investor is looking to rebalance his portfolio or wanting to invest in another company not in his portfolio, then he may sell some shares of his existing companies. Otherwise, so long the company is still good in its fundamentals and giving reasonable returns to an investor, there is no point in selling the shares.

Whether for TA or FA, it is good to keep learning and better one' s system of operations so that one becomes honed in his skills whether be it TA or FA. Then the fear factor will be minimised and one is now more confident, operating on his TA or FA system which gets better with increasing experience. This is because one is no longer a blind trying to feel the elephant but can now see, think and act based on a sound operating system and not just go by his feelings alone (which is not trustworthy) when it comes to investment.
